Gait Analysis & Therapy
Silk Scientific has introduced a gait analysis and therapy application to our software product line called the Gaitometer. Often an abnormal gait pattern will develop following an injury or surgery involving the lower body. After the injury heals, this irregular gait pattern often persists for months, years, and can become permanent due to the development of a poor gait cadence pattern.
The patented Gaitometer is designed to measure human gait cadence symmetry when walking or running, and to provide real-time audible feedback to assist in obtaining a more symmetric and normal gait. A selectable Gait Warning sound is used to provide immediate user feedback to help reduce the measured gait abnormality.
