Using UN-SCAN-IT like an Automatic Digitizing Tablet

The UN‑SCAN‑IT software allows you to use your scanner like an xy digitizer tablet. Simply scan an image (TIFF, JPG, BMP, GIF, etc.), then load the image into the UN‑SCAN‑IT software and define the scale. Then you can use your mouse (like a digitizer pen) or keyboard arrow keys to extract xy values from the image. If the image is a well defined graphical image, the UN‑SCAN‑IT software can work like an automatic xy digitizing tablet (i.e. automatic graph digitizer) to follow the data curve and digitize the graph automatically.

Works Like a Digitizing Tablet

In addition to the many graph digitizing features, UN‑SCAN‑IT can also integrate peak areas (like a graph planimeter), smooth data, take derivatives, rescale graphs, and export the (x,y) data for use in spreadsheet, data analysis, and graphics programs.
